An 87-year-old man killed in a house fire in Saint-Cloud

An 87-year-old man died in a house fire Thursday morning in Saint-Cloud, the city's firefighters announced. St. Cloud Fire crews responded shortly after 7:30 a.m. to a home in the 1300 block of 4th Street, where they found smoke coming from inside. They pulled the man from the fire and began to save his life, but he died at the scene, St. Cloud Fire said. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but appears to be electrical in origin.
