Amsterdam man charged with drug and weapons trafficking

An Amsterdam man faces drug and weapons charges.

Johannon A. Davis, 44, allegedly had crack cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia at her Greene Street home, Amsterdam police said. Police also found a loaded shotgun.

Davis had active arrest warrants for allegedly selling a controlled substance to an undercover agent, police said.

Davis was charged with three felony counts and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal sale of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a weapon.

Davis was arraigned in Amsterdam Municipal Court and sent to the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of bail.
