Amber Alert Cancelled After Missing Child's Body Found in Franklin

FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH – An Amber Alert was canceled following the discovery of a deceased child and the subsequent recovery of two siblings. The mother who reported the disappearance of a child is now the subject of a police search.

On June 28, Lashanda Delores Wilder, 32, contacted police to report her son missing from their home on Olmstead Avenue and St. Clair Street. During the investigation, authorities discovered a body inside Wilder's home. The Amber Alert was then issued for her two other children, 3-year-old King Wilder and 9-year-old Mikhael Simon.

The alert was resolved when King and Mikhael were found safe at a friend's house.

Authorities are now looking for Lashanda Wilder for questioning about the circumstances of her son's death. She is described as 5’7″, 220 pounds, and was last seen wearing a red head covering, black t-shirt, black pants, and red slippers.

The Franklin Police Department is urging anyone with information on Wilder's whereabouts to come forward.
