Alleged Mount Helix flasher arrested – NBC 7 San Diego

San Diego County sheriff's deputies have arrested a man suspected of exposing himself to multiple women in the Mount Helix area of ​​East County, and they are asking anyone else who may have been targeted to manifest.

John Jeffrey Lynn was arrested Tuesday moments after he pointed out another woman walking around 7 p.m. near Grosalia Avenue and Pandora Drive, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said.

Officers had increased patrols in the area due to other incidents over the past month and saw Lynn's SUV pull up alongside the woman. When they spoke with the woman, she told them he showed her a flash and left, SDSO said. Officers followed the SUV and placed Lynn under arrest.

Before the latest incident, women had reported similar actions by a driver of an olive green Subaru SUV who pulled up alongside them while they were walking, SDSO said. They told detectives the man behind the wheel was wearing a hat, sunglasses and a hoodie over his face – and his license plate was also obscured.

The first incident occurred on April 28, and women have been reporting similar experiences for about a month.

Lynn was taken into custody Wednesday and has since been released on $10,000 bail.
