CLEVELAND, Ohio — In a CNN interview, Neighboring Justice Samuel Alito, who claimed to have been behind the toppling of the American flag at Alito's home, said he was “at best he's wrong… at worst he's flat out lying. ยป on the timeline of the confrontation between her and the Alitos and the raising of the flag. Former federal prosecutors and highly regarded law professors go further, saying it could expose Alito to perjury and impeachment charges based on the two letters Alito sent to Congress.

Emily Baden, in an interview with Erin Burnett on CNN's “OutFront,” said that Justice Alito and his wife Martha-Ann, while out for a walk, stopped in front of Baden's house while she was out. Martha-Ann Alito and Baden then got into a heated exchange over the anti-Trump signs Baden had in her yard. Baden said that while this was happening, Justice Alito โ€œI just kept walking and practically disappeared.

Baden admitted to calling Martha-Ann Alito rude during the confrontation and regretting it. The sidewalk altercation took place on Feb. 15, according to Baden and confirmed by a police report. This is nearly a month after the upside-down American flag was photographed by the New York Times flying at Alito's home on January 17.

Emily Baden and her husband have since left the neighborhood. At the very least, Justice Alito should recuse himself from all cases related to January 6 and Trump.
