Alleged domestic dispute in Laurel County, Kentucky leads to fatal shooting of Kaney Hoskins

LONDON, Ky. (FOX 56) – A fatal stabbing Friday led deputies to investigate a home in Laurel County.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) said a death investigation took place around 10:50 p.m. Friday at a home in the Gail Avenue area, which law enforcement says is nearly 'a mile and a half west of London.

According to authorities, a stepson and his stepfather got into an argument after “the stepfather allegedly assaulted the stepson's mother.”

During the argument, the father-in-law was allegedly fatally stabbed in the chest.

According to a press release, the stepfather's body was identified as that of Kane Hoskins, 37, by the Laurel County Coroner's Office.

The LCSO said in a press release that “the case will be presented to a Laurel County grand jury for review.”
