The alleged villain covered in Netflix's “Dancing for the Devil” was the subject of two previous criminal investigations, but neither resulted in charges… TMZ has learned.

Police sources tell us that two complaints of sexual assault have been filed against Robert Shinn and reported to the LAPD in August 2023 – which is what was covered in the document… with some of his accusers coming forward and noting that they had gone to the police.



We're told one of the complaints was filed by a former member of 7M. Kylie Douglas, whose history was presented in the document. Our sources say the LAPD conducted an investigation and the case ultimately ended up with the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office.

Another case was filed and submitted to the Los Angeles City Attorney's office also last August – but we're told they ultimately dismissed both cases in April of this year – citing insufficient evidence and delay important in reporting as reasons why they did not file a complaint. all costs.

As we said… Shinn has categorically denied all claims made in the doc – and even filed a defamation suit against the accusers featured on the show.

On the law enforcement side… they found no evidence either.
