The Apple Watch is set to complete its decade of existence in 2024 and rumors are circulating that an Apple Watch X Anniversary Edition is in development under Apple's roof. 91Mobiles has obtained alleged CAD renderings from industry insiders to give a first look at the upcoming smartwatch.

According to the outlet, the Apple Watch Series 10 or Apple Watch X could feature the largest display on an Apple Watch with a 2-inch screen size. However, the dimensions of the device (46 x 39.7 x 11.6 mm) are expected to fall between the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Series 9.

Renders suggest there won't be many changes to the overall design of the next-generation Apple Watch, with its square screen, Digital Crown, and side button placed similarly to previous models. However, the renders do not reflect the redesigned magnetic strap attachment system expected to come to the Apple Watch Series 10 or Watch X.

This could bring improvements over the current design where the band slides off the side of the Apple Watch, taking up space that could be used for other things, like a larger battery. Apple's new band system would pave the way for a thinner design for the smartwatch.

The existence of the Apple Watch not a separate smartwatch called Apple Watch X.

These CAD renders should be taken with a grain of salt given the information available from other sources. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in a recent note that the Apple Watch Series 10 is expected to arrive in 45mm/49mm sizes, making the 49mm variant as large as the Apple Watch Ultra.

The next-generation Apple Watch will arrive later this year alongside the iPhone 16 series. In the meantime, you can check out this Apple Watch X concept which attempts to imagine what it might look like based on past rumors.
