In March 2023, Kyle was arrested by police in Tennessee for aggravated assault. The arrest came two months after Todd, 55, was taken into custody to begin his prison sentence. TMZ reported that Kyle was accused of threatening to kill his boss Deven during an argument at work.

Kyle allegedly punched Deven multiple times in the face and body. During that ordeal, Todd's son was accused of holding a knife and threatening to kill Deven. Deven claimed the fight was over a $36 difference in Kyle's salary. He said he locked himself in a room after the attack while two other men held Kyle until police arrived.

“My head was all bruised, I was kind of beaten,” he previously said in an interview.

They called the ambulance and took me to the emergency room because one side of my head was really swollen.

He said prosecutors tried to frame him for failing to appear in court following a subpoena he said he never received. He claimed that the subpoena requesting his presence at the criminal trial was never served on him. Additionally, he claimed that the two men who restrained Kyle and witnessed the attack were never subpoenaed to appear at trial.

Deven tells In touch“When I talked to the prosecutor, he said, 'You were subpoenaed but you never showed up.' And that made it very clear to me why I wouldn't run. I've been attacked. Strike with the butt of the fixed blade, which would not make me want to come and give my version of the facts in front of a judge.

“It's crazy! For someone to be able to attack someone else the way they did, and the legal process acts like they don't really care. Or well they give him a break because of his family,” he continued Deven added, “The police department never followed me, never called me, never asked me. The court never contacted me, never called me, never asked me any questions. It was me who always had to go to court to ask what was going on. no information.

“I have never been attacked before; I don't know what's going on. I don’t know what the processes are – I still don’t know what’s going on.

Kyle says In touch“While it is true that the charges were dismissed because Deven failed to appear, I know that the court made several attempts to subpoena him. Fame never played a role in the court's decision. If my family was considered above the law, why are my parents in federal prison?

He continued: “As far as the money goes, I think the fact that I was his employee speaks for itself. As for what happened that night, Deven knows he pushed me first. I think now everyone knows I have PTSD, and that, plus her yelling in my face, started an explosion. His statements are false and frankly ridiculous. Am I sorry things turned out this way? Absolutely! But in the end, he was the one who got his hands on me first. It's at least a simple assault. And by my supervisor, at my workplace. I lost my job because of it, I was scrutinized, my reputation was questioned, my reputation was damaged. Without forgetting the strained relationships. But I would just like to forget this whole encounter and move on with my life.

The district attorney's office did not return a call left with a receptionist for comment. Smyrna Municipal Court Administrator Brandi Dover declined to discuss the case when contacted by a In touch journalist.
