ALAMOSA— Multiple agencies with up to 50 agents continue the search for a man who is a person of interest in connection with the shooting of three people at an Alamosa hotel, one of whom was killed and two others left seriously injured. The Alamosa Police Department said the search for Henry Corral, 44, has expanded to include the U.S. Marshals and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and other agencies.

Chief Dingfelder said the Chaffee County SWAT team has also been required to use drones with thermal equipment, as well as aircraft with thermal detection. APD SWAT has also been involved since the incident and APD said door-to-door searches of area residences are underway.

A reverse 911 call was made at 4:50 a.m. Sunday for Alamosa County residents to stay indoors with their doors locked after the shooting at the Sunset Inn here around 2 a.m. Sunday.

The suspect fled the scene of the shooting and was last seen near County Road 106 and Route 12 southwest of the city. Officials said Corral wrecked a Chevrolet Avalanche, set it on fire and tried to carjack another vehicle before fleeing on foot.

Alamosa police responded to a call of shots fired at the hotel, 1310 West Eighth Street, shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday. When police arrived, they found that three people had been shot.

APD Police Chief George Dingfelder said one of the victims was killed and two of them were in critical condition.

The primary search focus continues to be County Road 10 south to County Road 15 south and County Road 106 southwest in Rio Grande and Conejos counties. APD asks residents to report anything out of the ordinary, including surveillance systems that may reveal anything, by calling 911 or 719-589-5807.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Corral for criminal attempt to commit first degree murder (x2), first degree murder, tampering with physical evidence, possession of a weapon by a prior offender, and criminal attempt to commit robbery. He has an extensive arrest history over the past dozen or more years, including recent domestic violence charges, according to the Alamosa County Sheriff's Department.
