Alabama mall shooting leaves businesses damaged, no one injured

An afternoon shooting at an Alabama shopping center damaged several businesses but left no one injured, authorities said.

Montgomery police responded to calls about a shooting in the 1000 block of Eastdale Mall around 3:45 p.m. Saturday. When police arrived, they found that numerous businesses had been damaged by gunfire.

Further investigation revealed that no injuries were reported near or at the scene.

Eastdale Mall General Manager Richard Holman told WSFA the shots were fired near the mall's movie theater and a hair salon.

Montgomery police are still investigating the incident.
