Ahmad Alizadeh, a teacher from Abdanan, released under surveillance with an electronic tag on his ankle

Ahmad Alizadeh, a teacher from Abdanan in Ilam province, who was arrested during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement and sentenced to 27 months in prison, was released from prison, under surveillance with an electronic bracelet at the ankle, after serving 7 months. .

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Ahmad Alizadeh, one of the teachers arrested during the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, was released in recent days from Darreshahr prison (Derishahr ), in the province of Ilam, under electronic surveillance. He will serve the remaining 20 months of his sentence outside prison with a movement restriction of 1,000 meters from his home.

Ahmad Alizadeh, a 51-year-old teacher, was arrested and transferred to prison on Saturday, November 4, 2023, after being summoned and reporting to the sentence execution department of the Abdanan Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office.

This teacher had already been sentenced to 27 months imprisoned by the Ilam Revolutionary Court for “propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran” and “disturbing public opinion”.

Ahmad Alizadeh was also sentenced to additional terms, including two years of revocation, two years of exile in the city of Fanouj, Sistan-Baluchistan province, and one year of ban on activities in cyberspace.

On Saturday, January 7, 2023, Ahmad Alizadeh was also detained for a while after being summoned to Abdanan Justice. He was provisionally released on bail at the end of September of the same year after being arrested in Abdanan during the “Woman, Life, Liberty” movement.
