After arrest for sexual assault, Nashua teen breached bail with gun: cops

Aidan Medbury arrested for aggravated sexual assault in Manchester; cops say he pointed a gun at the victim in Nashua.

NASHUA, NH — A local teenager has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in one town and pointing a gun at her in another, police say.

On June 10, Nashua Police received a report of a possible bail violation involving a firearm. Detectives worked the case and, in doing so, learned that the suspect, Aidan Medbury, 19, of Nashua, had been arrested on “multiple counts” of aggravated criminal sexual assault in Manchester, Sgt. John Cinelli, public information officer and supervisor of the Nashua Police Department's communications division, said.

Medbury was released on $500 cash bail and ordered to stay away from the woman.

Cinelli said police accuse Medbury of violating the conditions of his bail on June 9 by going to the woman's home in Nashua and “pointing a gun at her,” he said . An arrest warrant has been issued for Medbury.

In Massachusetts, state police arrested him June 12 during a traffic stop. He waived extradition and was held at Middleton Correctional Facility while awaiting transport to Nashua. Two days later, he was charged in Nashua with misdemeanor reckless driving – domestic violence and stalking – domestic violence.

Medbury was taken into custody and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on June 17.

In November 2023, Medbury was accused of holding up a stolen car, driving it at a dangerous speed and crashing into another vehicle and a building in Manchester. He was later indicted on these charges. On March 25, he pleaded guilty to charges of reckless driving and disorderly conduct, while charges of receiving stolen property, causing an accident and disobeying an officer were not investigated. Medbury was sentenced to two concurrent 12-month sentences, all suspended for five years, and fined $3,000.
