After 80 years, missing Alliance soldier from World War II remains identified

In early 2019, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) received a request for exhumation from the family of the unknown X-505A-H, which was based on attempts to associate the remains with other unaccounted losses in southern Burma. This led DPAA historians to examine other lost remains associated with the crash X-Files. The request was approved and in October 2020, the remains were exhumed from DPAA personnel, they were collected in the DPAA laboratory for analysis.
