Affidavit: Van Buren pornographic actor arrested for human trafficking

The affidavit says she told police she was essentially forced to participate and that Hall would get angry and start yelling if she told him no.

VAN BUREN, Ark. — A Van Buren man was arrested after allegedly engaging in human trafficking and being violent toward multiple women.

Michael Wayne Hall was booked into the Crawford County Jail on June 4 on charges of terroristic threats, human trafficking, communications harassment, domestic battery and aggravated assault of a family or family member, the all divided between two cases.

The first affidavit states that on May 12, detectives took a report from a woman about Hall allegedly harassing her through emails, texts and messages through CashApp.

The woman told police that Hall became physically violent with her in April, according to the affidavit, choking her until she nearly passed out and then throwing her to the ground.

Hall then allegedly slammed his arms and legs against a door about ten times. He then tackled her to the floor and slammed her head against the kitchen tiles “like a basketball,” the affidavit states.

Court documents indicate that in January 2024, investigators spoke with another person who had left Hall's residence in the middle of the night and was sleeping at the police station. She told police she was picked up by Hall and another woman while she was in Kentucky and came to live potentially full-time with them.

The person left on Jan. 17 because of the way Hall treated the other woman, allegedly kicking her in the stomach and ribs while she was on the ground, the affidavit states.

According to court documents, the woman told police that Hall said the two would start making porn on OnlyFans in 2023. Money from the account was controlled by Hall and allegedly went into his bank account which did not belonged only to him.

The woman explained that she “couldn't really refuse to film because of the risk of getting beaten,” the affidavit states.

She explained that when she and Hall moved to Van Buren in 2023, OnlyFans was her full-time job. The affidavit reports that she told police that she was essentially forced to participate and that Hall would become angry and start yelling and throwing things if she told him no.

The second affidavit states that on May 29, Van Buren police officers went to check on a woman's welfare. A friend of the woman was concerned about her well-being because she had asked for help getting to Florida.

The woman was contacted and told officers she was fine. On June 3, officers were called again for another welfare check involving the same woman. This time, she opened the door and started crying hysterically, the affidavit states.

She ran out of the residence and said Hall headbutted her twice, according to court documents. She told police she had photos of previous injuries that Hall had given her and that he had even threatened to kill her by shooting her.

The affidavit contains texts between the woman and Hall, one of which read: “If my phone rings again I'm going to smash it in your face until there's nothing left,” and another that says, “I’m literally going to kill you.”

The affidavit says the woman reported several instances where Hall threatened to kill her, including after the first welfare check.

Hall posted his $100,000 bond and is now awaiting his court appearance.

According to court records, Hall had previously been incarcerated in the Sebastian County Jail three times in 2022 on the following charges:

  • January 13, 2022 — Aggravated assault against a family or household member
  • August 4, 2022 – Assault against a family or household member – 3rd degree
  • December 12, 2022 — Revocation Petition
