Pasqual was charged May 24 with one count each of attempted murder and first-degree residential burglary in the presence of a person and injuring a spouse, common-law partner, fiance, boyfriend, girlfriend or the parent of a child.

The charges include allegations that Pasqual inflicted serious bodily injury on the victim in circumstances involving domestic violence and that he personally used a knife during the crime, according to the prosecutor's office.

Pasqual — who was named in a restraining order recently requested by the woman — allegedly broke into her home around 4:30 a.m. on May 23 and stabbed her multiple times, according to the prosecutor's office.

Pasqual allegedly fled the scene and was later arrested at a U.S.-Mexico border checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas, according to the district attorney's office.

The woman, identified in media reports and on a GoFundMe page as makeup artist Allie Shehorn, was initially hospitalized in an intensive care unit but has since been moved out of that unit, according to the fundraising site. The page states that Shehorn was attacked by her ex-boyfriend.

Pasqual arrived at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday evening.

He faces life in prison if convicted as charged, according to the district attorney's office.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Shehorn met Pasqual — described as a background actor — on the set of the Netflix film “Rebel Moon.”
