Actor Nick Pasqual accused of alleged stabbing of his ex-girlfriend, makeup artist Allie Shehorn

Actor Nick Pasqual has been accused of repeatedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend, Hollywood special effects makeup artist Allie Shehorn.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged Pasqual with one count of attempted murder; one count of first-degree residential burglary in the presence of a person; and one count of injuring a spouse, common-law partner, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or parent of a child. If convicted, he could receive a maximum sentence of life in state prison, according to a news release on the office's website.

“My thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to the victim of this horrific incident,” prosecutor George Gascón said in a statement. “Our office, including our Office of Victim Services, is providing support and resources as she embarks on the long and difficult journey of healing from the physical and emotional trauma inflicted on her. This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the person responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.

The charges against Pasqual come a week after Shehorn was found bleeding on May 23 inside her home, after being stabbed more than 20 times, according to KTLA. She was placed in the intensive care unit of a local hospital before being released from intensive care a few days later. She remains hospitalized.

The 35-year-old woman had taken out a restraining order against the actor, who had been released from prison days before his attack.

“I found it and had to go to the room where it happened. It wasn’t a pretty sight,” Shehorn’s friend Christine White told KTLA after the attack. “This is not the kind of thing that should happen to anyone. You don't think it will ever happen to you.

Her friends have created a GoFundMe page to help her raise the money she will need to cover her hospital bills, including her extended stay, surgeries, treatments and ongoing care she will need while she is convalescence.
