Actor charged with attempted murder of ex-partner

Nick Pasqual, an American actor who has appeared in television programs such as how I Met Your Motherwas arrested and charged with attempting to partner with his ex-girlfriend.

According to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, Pasqual was accused of stabbing his ex-partner, Allie Shehorn, who also works in the film industry as a makeup artist.

The police report states that the incident allegedly took place around 4:30 a.m. on May 23, when Pasqual entered Shehorn's home before stabbing her multiple times. Shehorn, who has worked on films such as Rebel Moon And Babylonwas then hospitalized where she remains in critical condition.

Following the alleged attack, Pasqual reportedly attempted to flee California, but was later arrested upon arrival at the border after attempting to enter Mexico through Sierra Blanca, Texas. The actor was arrested and served with a $1.07 million warrant. Pasqual is expected to be extradited to Los Angeles and if convicted, he could face life in prison.

He was formally charged with one count of attempted murder, one count of first-degree residential burglary in the presence of a person and one count of injury to a spouse, common-law partner, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or parent of a child, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. .

Before the alleged attack, Shehorn had obtained a restraining order against her former partner. However, it is unclear whether she had the opportunity to serve the legal document before hospitalization.

In recent days, Shehorn's friends launched a fundraising page for the makeup artist, claiming she is currently in “critical condition” following the alleged stabbing.

They praised her as “a remarkable person, full of warmth, kindness and love” and revealed: “The road to recovery will be long and arduous, but with your support we can help ease her pain. burden and provide her with the financial assistance she desperately needs. needs.”

Additionally, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón called the attack “heinous” and called it “a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence.”

Gascón continued, “Our office, including our Office of Victim Services, is providing her with our support and resources as she embarks on the long and difficult journey of healing from the physical and emotional trauma inflicted on her…”

He also said the office “will ensure that the person responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”

Pasqual has not yet commented on the accusations.
