ACSO: 2 arrested after shots fired at music event in Cherry Creek State Park

DENVER (KDVR) — The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office says two men were arrested after shots were fired Sunday in Cherry Creek State Park.

Deputies were on the scene of a disturbance near the swimming beach at Cherry Creek State Park, where ACSO said someone fired shots into the air.

It happened around 6 p.m. during a music event for which, according to ACSO, hundreds of people were present.

The crowd quickly dispersed and fortunately, according to ACSO, no one was injured.

Two men were taken into custody. No further information was immediately available.
