Accident near Wickenburg closes US 93

The crash happened Thursday morning near mile marker 179, near Tres Alamos Road, ADOT said.

WICKENBURG, Ariz. — Several serious injuries were reported after a multi-vehicle crash in northern Arizona Thursday morning. U.S. 93 is closed near Wickenburg due to the crash, ADOT said.

Initial reports indicate the crash happened at mile marker 179 near Tres Alamos Road, northwest of Wickenburg. Northbound US 93 is closed at State Route 71 and southbound is closed at the Interstate 40 junction.

Motorists should seek an alternate route as advised by ADOT.

The Department of Public Safety confirmed that several vehicles, including commercial vehicles, were involved in the accident. At least one car is overturned and on fire.

No deaths were reported as of 9 a.m. The cause of the accident is currently unknown.
