TIMES-NEWS

A California woman died Sunday afternoon after police say the car she was driving crossed the center line of U.S. 93 and struck a pickup truck near Rogerson.

The woman, 32, of Wilmington, California, was heading north around 2:15 p.m. near mile marker 8 in a 2010 Prius, according to Idaho State Police, when her Toyota Prius struck a Chevrolet Silverado pulling a trailer, driven by a 50-year-old male from Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The woman died at the scene, while her passenger, a 27-year-old woman from Los Angeles, was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital, police said.

A 62-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle when it hit a puddle, police say.

The driver of the van was not taken to the hospital and everyone involved was wearing seat belts, the ISP said.

The highway was blocked for approximately three hours.

The accident is the subject of an investigation by the ISP.
