Accident closes State Route 74 near Lake Pleasant

A minivan and a truck pulling a large trailer collided on Highway 74 near Castle Hot Springs Road, just southwest of Lake Pleasant. Here are the latest details.

PEORIA, Ariz. – A two-vehicle crash closed a Valley highway, just southwest of Lake Pleasant, Sunday evening.

The crash happened near the intersection of State Route 74 and Castle Hot Springs Road in Peoria.

A 12News crew at the scene learned that a minivan carrying children was traveling east on SR 74 and attempting to turn around when it was struck by a pickup truck that was towing a large trailer and was heading west.

Several people were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
