Abigail Kate Velez, East Tennessee Teen, Missing in Florida: What You Need to Know

The Knox County Sheriff's Office and other Tennessee law enforcement groups are asking for the public's help in the search for a 16-year-old from East Tennessee reported missing from Pensacola.

Abigail Kate Velez has been missing since Thursday. According to a Facebook post from the nonprofit Blue Line Tennessee, shared by KCSO, authorities are searching for Velez throughout Florida.

Abigail Velez is an East Tennessee resident.

She is 5'6″, weighs 130 pounds and has dirty blonde hair and green eyes.

When did she disappear?

Velez was last seen at Pensacola Baptist Hospital at 9:30 p.m. on June 6. Little is known about the other circumstances of his disappearance, but a post shared by the KCSO account indicates that Velez was in Pensacola on vacation.

“We are very grateful for the support from the community,” Danielle Velez, Abigail’s mother, told Knox News in a text. “There is advice that has value and we wouldn’t have that without the public continuing to share their photo.”
