» A WWII veteran from Milford was recently identified

Milford, IA (KICD) — Unknown sailors from the USS Oklahoma – sunk at Pearl Harbor – were buried anonymously in 1941.
Ashley M. Wright of the Department of Defense's POW/MIA Accounting Agency says most of them have now been identified – including Navy Firefighter 1st Class Everett C. Titterington of Milford.

The remains of the newly identified service members will be interred in Bloomington, California, in September.

Everett C. Titterington was 21 years old when he died in service to his country.
