A woman from the region, a mason and her young son found safe and sound

TWP DE VEVAY. — A Mason area woman and a 9-year-old boy reported missing late last month have been found, police said.

Monday morning, authorities asked for the public's help in locating Brittany Parker and her son Andre, who have been missing since May 25. On Monday afternoon, they announced that the mother and child had been found and were safe.

Parker and her son disappeared less than a week after state troopers responded to a domestic violence call involving the woman and her boyfriend, police said.

“The boyfriend and his two children are also safe,” the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said in an alert. “We appreciate the public’s concern and assistance in sharing information.”

Michigan State Police responded to a domestic violence call involving Parker and her boyfriend in Vevay Township, near Mason, on May 20. No arrests resulted from this incident, state police said in a news release Monday.
