A teenager accused of inciting violence at HS Mariemont appears in court to be heard

The teenage suspect accused of planning a mass shooting at Mariemont High School appeared in court again Tuesday. The teen, who faces a single count of conspiracy to commit aggravated murder, is accused of extensively planning a mass shooting at the school. The teenager was arrested in February. On Tuesday, the suspect and his parents appeared in court for a pretrial hearing to discuss the evidence and determine whether the teen should be released on bail. The judge ruled that the suspect would be detained at least until the end of the trial. The next pretrial hearing is set for June 27. The prosecution and defense are expected to participate in a probable cause hearing July 10 to decide whether the suspect will be tried as an adult. The former suspect was found competent to stand trial after a ruling by Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge Kari Bloom.
