A man suffered life-threatening stabbing injuries

Police are currently at the scene of a stabbing in the Upper Water Street area of ​​Newry.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries which are described as life-threatening, the PSNI said.

A second man, aged in his 20s, was also taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Members of the public are asked to avoid the area.
