GEORGE TOWN, June 16 — Police have obtained remand orders for a man who allegedly stabbed his mother to death with scissors at an apartment in Relau here yesterday.

Contacted by Bernama, Timur Laut district police chief ACP Razlam Ab Hamid said the remand for the 40-year-old suspect was for seven days until June 22.

He said the case was being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. — Bernama
