A man climbs the 'Kentucky Rumbler' at Beech Bend Park after hours

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Friday evening around 10:30 p.m., the Richardsville Fire Department, EMS Medical Center and the Warren County Sheriff's Office responded to Beech Bend Park.

When they arrived, they located Robert Cherry, 30, at the top of the Kentucky Rumbler roller coaster in Beech Bend Park. Emergency services went up to the tracks where the negotiations began.

After an hour of negotiations, Cherry walked down the hill peacefully without injury to herself or emergency personnel.

Cherry was booked early Saturday morning for the following charges:

• Free endangerment (second degree)
• Disorderly conduct (second degree)
• Criminal trespass (second degree)
• Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or a substance (first degree)
• Fleeing or Eluding Police with a Motor Vehicle (First Degree)
• Fleeing or evading police on foot (second degree)
• Threatening

He remains incarcerated in the Warren County Regional Jail on $10,000 cash bail.
