A large quantity of drugs intended for trafficking was discovered in a house in Siler City, two people were arrested

The execution of a search warrant led to the arrest of a man and a woman Friday who now face multiple drug charges in Chatham County.

The sheriff's office executed the search warrant at a home in the 900 block of 12th Street in Siler City.

During the search, officers recovered a trafficking quantity of oxycodone, approximately 16 grams, approximately 7 grams of crack cocaine and 49 grams of marijuana.

The two people living in the house, Jimmy Headen, 42, and Marie Headen, 67, were arrested.

Jimmy faces multiple criminal charges, including:

  • One count of trafficking in opium or heroin
  • Two counts of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver Schedule II controlled substances
  • One count of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana
  • One count of criminal possession of cocaine
  • One count of criminal possession of marijuana
  • One count of possession of a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substances

Jimmy is also charged with a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Marie was charged with the following:

  • One count of criminal possession of cocaine
  • One felony count of maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substances
  • One count of criminal possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver Schedule II controlled substances
  • One count of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia

Jimmy was held on $235,000 bail, while Marie was released on a written promise to appear in court.

Both suspects are scheduled to appear in Chatham County Court in Pittsboro on July 15.
