THANK YOU SO MUCH. WE ALSO WANT TO THANK OUR VIEWERS WHO HELPED US TELL THIS STORY. THIS IS FIRST A SCREENSHOT FROM A CALTRANS CAMERA. IT WAS EARLIER TODAY. SO YOU SEE THAT THE SUN WAS STILL RISING. It's a fire in the center of Route 580 in Tracy. So at this point, earlier today, we know that there was a fire in the median just before this screenshot is when officials officially closed 580. THAT'S ANOTHER POINT OF VIEW. So it was around 6 p.m., 5:30 a.m. or 6 p.m. this evening. And that would be the view if you're driving south on 580 toward these flames, you could see the plume of smoke earlier today. Again, this was 5 or 6 hours ago. At this point, we have another viewer video here, and this is one of the first images we actually got of this fire this afternoon around 5:00 p.m. from Matt McGibney. AND THIS IS SHOWN EARLIER, BEFORE THE AREA WAS EVEN BY THOUSANDS. At this point all these flames start coming down the hill. And this thick black smoke. SO A BIG THANKS TO MATT MCGIBNEY FOR SENDING IN THESE IMAGES. We also have another image viewer of him, where you might see someone standing there, looking at the flames. You can see how hot those flames are and how dry that grass is. Once all those flames came down the hill and hit that flat area, that's when you really saw them spread. So here's a look at one of the cameras in the area where this smoke is growing, and how quickly this wind was pushing this smoke up there. There's this moment when you see this

Thousands of acres in Stanislaus County were burned Saturday in the Corral Fire.

Evacuations were ordered and parts of Interstate 580 were closed in the Tracy area as crews from multiple agencies worked to extinguish the flames.

Several KCRA 3 viewers submitted photos and videos of the fire as they attempted to escape the evacuation zone.
