9 Companies Get Places in $4 Billion DTRA Contract to Combat Weapons of Mass Destruction R&D

Nine companies have been awarded spots on a potential $4 billion, 10-year, $4 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to help the Defense Threat Reduction Agency research, develop, test and evaluate platforms scientific and technological forms to combat weapons of mass destruction.

The work carried out within the framework of the IDIQ will be divided into three mission areas: artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and software development; operations and countermeasures in a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear environment; and targeting, information operations and irregular warfare, the Defense Department said Wednesday.

The winners are:

  • Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE:BAH)
  • Leidos (NYSE:LDOS)
  • Nobles
  • Parsons Government Services
  • Peraton
  • Signage landscape
  • SRC
  • Two Six Technologies

DTRA received 27 bids for the contract and will require $50,000 in minimum security per contract using the FY 2024 RDT&E allocation.

Work locations and other funding will be determined upon issuance of the individual orders.

The contract has a base period of five years with five option years which could extend the work until May 2034.
