85-year-old motorcyclist killed in Miami County crash identified – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

Davis was heading south on S. Shiloh Road on his motorcycle when he failed to stop at a stop sign on Frederick Garland Road, according to an accident report from the County Sheriff's Office Miami. He headed into the intersection and was struck by a Chrysler 200 traveling eastbound on Frederick Garland Road.

Davis died from his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the Chrysler, an 18-year-old Dayton woman, was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center with suspected minor injuries.

Neither speed, alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash, Deputy Justin Miller told News Center 7 at the scene.

The accident is still under investigation.
