8 suspects sought in suspected armed robbery at West Highland jewelry store

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police are looking for eight suspects who stormed and robbed a West Highland jewelry store.

The alleged robbery occurred at Joyeria El Ruby at 5108 W. 38th Ave. around 2 p.m. Monday.

The suspects were filmed by security cameras. Many of them did not wear masks or try to conceal their identities.

The security video, posted on the jewelry store's Facebook page, shows the thieves grabbing gold chains from shelves and stealing merchandise from display cases. They then allegedly loaded their loot into duffel bags and fled.

It is unclear exactly how much merchandise the thieves may have stolen.

Police said the suspects were armed with handguns and threatened store employees.

All suspects are believed to be Hispanic males in their 20s.
