8-month-old Kentucky baby missing, family to appear in court over abandonment

REYNOLDS STATION, Ky. — The family of an 8-month-old girl reported missing in Kentucky is heading to court on multiple charges after she could not be found.

Tesla Tucker, 29, and Cage Rudd, 30, of Reynolds Station, Kentucky, the parents of missing Miya Tucker, are due in court Monday to face charges of abandonment of a minor, child abuse, smuggling legendary drugs and engaging in organized crime, after she could not be located during a welfare check last week, according to Kentucky State Police.

Miya's grandfather, Ricky Smith, 56, is due in court on the same charges. He is a convicted felon and a persistent felon, KSP said.

Miya's grandmother, Billie (Rudd) Smith, 49, was arrested Sunday on a 2023 domestic violence warrant for 2nd degree assault while searching for the girl.

Tucker and Smith are incarcerated at the Ohio County Detention Center. Rudd and Smith are all incarcerated at the Daviees County Detention Center.

Miya, who was last known to be in her parents' care, has brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information on Miya's whereabouts is asked to call KSP Post 16 at 270-826-3312.

Reynolds Station, Ohio County, is 130 miles north of Nashville, Tennessee.
