79-year-old man missing near Mebane, light blue car with 'Jesus' on front license plate

MEBANE, North Carolina — The Orange County Sheriff's Office is searching for missing 79-year-old woman Shirley Haith.

Haith was last seen on Wednesday. Family members reported him missing on Friday.

According to the sheriff's office, Haith lives in a rural area in northwest Orange County near the intersection of Harmony Church and Lynch Store roads.

Haith rarely ventures far from home other than for regular errands and activities, officials say.

Haith is 5 feet 2 inches tall. She weighs approximately 180 pounds and has short white hair.

She drives a light blue 1997 Ford Contour with license plate number XWY-7639. The car pictured below is not Haith's actual car but an example of what it looks like.
