7 minors cited and several adults arrested after major disturbances in the DOCO area of ​​Sacramento

SACRAMENTO – A large disturbance in the DOCO area of ​​downtown Sacramento Friday evening led to the arrest of a group of juveniles and the arrest of several adults, police said.

The situation started around 8:30 p.m. Sacramento police confirmed at that time that they had received several reports of juveniles causing disturbances in the area. The police invaded the area.

In total, police say about 80 to 100 juveniles gathered in the DOCO area and began causing a ruckus.

It's unclear why so many juveniles were at DOCO at the time, but police say they cited a total of seven juveniles and released them to their parents. These juveniles include four suspected of resisting/interfering with officers, two for violating curfew and one for resisting and assaulting a peace officer.

Police also say two adults were arrested at the scene, charged with resisting/interference. The names of these adults have not been released.

Another man, Sviatoslav Stankevich, 34, was also arrested by police on suspicion of criminal assault on a police officer, criminal vandalism and other charges.
