5-year-old boy, 20-year-old woman missing in Bibb County

State police and the Bibb County Sheriff's Office are asking for help finding a 5-year-old boy and a 20-year-old woman both missing from Brierfield since Saturday afternoon.

The Alabama law enforcement agency issued a missing child emergency alert Saturday evening for Jonathan Andrew Pearce II, 5, who was last seen on George Mill Road in Brierfield around 4 p.m. hours.

Less than half an hour later, ALEA issued a missing or endangered person alert for Jennifer Kay Watts, a 20-year-old woman who had been missing for 16 hours from the same location.

Brierfield is about 50 miles east-southeast of Tuscaloosa in Bibb County.

Police said Watts may be living with an illness that could impair his judgment.

She is described as a white female with brown hair and blue eyes, five feet five inches tall and weighing 155 pounds.

She was wearing a beige cheetah print shirt, jeans and neon pink shoes when she was last seen on Saturday.

Pearce is 5 years old and was wearing a black shirt with gray shorts and green light-up shoes when he was last seen.

Their relationship and the connection between the two cases was not immediately apparent Saturday.

Anyone with information regarding any of the missing persons is asked to contact the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at (205) 926-3129 or call 911.
