5 men arrested in connection with Tuesday theft: mobile police

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Five men were arrested Tuesday after a robbery on Plum Street, according to the Mobile Police Department.

A release from MPD says officers were called to the 600 block of Plum Street around 5:40 p.m. for a reported theft.

LOCATION OF THE INCIDENT:

Officers responding to the scene noticed a car matching the description of the one seen leaving the scene, according to the release.

The police allegedly tried to stop the vehicle, but were led into a short chase. The release said the driver eventually stopped and that's when officers found the five men.

The five men allegedly robbed a man at a home on Plum Street. The release states officers arrested Darrell Nettles, Jr., 20, of Mount Vernon, Elijah Janez Files, 20, of Mount Vernon, Tauchristion Lockett, 21, of Mobile, Antwan Creagh, Jr., 19. . of Mount Vernon and Jeremiah Lockett, 19, of Mount Vernon.
