However, one of the strong points of Shadow of the Erdtree these are the new weapons.

Like any FromSoftware DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree brings players many new weapons, each offering incredible power and playstyle. Sure, the DLC comes with some good late-game weapons, but you can get your hands on some early items to crush your enemies.

So if you've just started Shadow of Erdtree DLC, here are the top 5 weapons that you must collect straight away to guarantee your victory in the Land of Shadow.

5. Beast Claws

Beast Claws are arguably one of the best melee sidearms that can turn your character into a raging barbarian. They deal a series of quick, deadly strikes that can cause bleeding damage and allow you to land a jumping attack to quickly close the gap between distances.

You can find Beast Claws starting from the Gravesite Site of Grace, where you start Shadow of the Erdtree. From there, head slightly south then east. You will find yourself in a wooded area called Gravesite Plain, where you will have to face Logur, The Beast Claw. Eliminate him and the claws are yours.

The Greatsword of Solitude is another great addition to strength-based builds. It deals a ton of base damage and weakens the enemy's balance. If that's not enough, he also comes with a weapon skill that provides strength-based players with a reliable projectile attack that can be used to take out weak enemies. You can find the Greatsword of Solitude just west of the first Shadow of the Erdtree Grace Site, right in a small cave near the edge of this part of the map. You must defeat the dungeon boss, Blackgoal Knight, to get your hands on this weapon.

You can acquire this weapon in a perfumer's camp just before heading to Ensis Castle. Once you cross the bridge, you can locate the camp on your right.

The Smithscript Dagger is a wonderful first weapon. It's fast, light and one of the few weapons in the DLC which fits your four main weapons. By itself, this may not be the most powerful option you can choose. However, it is one of the unique Weapons of the Shadow of Erdtree as it is versatile and can be used by anyone looking for an extra melee attack.

You can find Smithscript Dagger in the area south of Ensis Castle. After crossing the bridge that leads to the Château d'Ensis bridge, turn right and continue until you reach a nearby cliff. Enter the Ruined Forge Lava Intake dungeon and continue until you come across a body guarded by enemies. This body contains the Smithscript dagger.
