4 shots fired in Sparks Marina, 2 seriously injured

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) –UPDATE SUNDAY 6PM: Four people were shot early Sunday at Sparks Marina Park, Sparks police said.

Two men were in critical condition Sunday evening and two other shooting victims were treated and released, police said.

Police have not released any further information about the victims of the shooting.

The city's ShotSpotter system alerted police to shots fired in the 300 block of Nichols Boulevard at 4:19 a.m.

Police arrived to find four people suffering from gunshot wounds after a fight.

Detectives took over the investigation and police said they had no suspects.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Sparks Police Department is investigating a shooting early Sunday morning at the Sparks Marina that left several people injured.

Police could not immediately say how many people were injured, but several victims were taken to hospital for treatment.

The shooting took place around 4:19 a.m.

Howard Drive reopened at 10:30 a.m. after being closed for investigation.

Due to the size of the crime scene, Sparks police called in the Washoe County Sheriff's Office and the Reno Police Department to assist.
