WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — Four people have been charged in connection with a shooting death in Winston-Salem earlier this year, according to a news release from the Winston-Salem Police Department.

On Tuesday, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Nathan Elijah Bullard, 18, and Uriel Maiche Hernandez, 27, charging them with general murder in connection with the death of a man in January.

Hernandez has been in custody at the Wilkes County Sheriff's Office since May 19 on an unrelated matter. He was served with an arrest warrant for general murder on Friday and remains in their custody pending transport to Forsyth County.

On Wednesday, WSPD detectives located and arrested Bullard. He has been served with his warrant and remains in custody at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center with no bond allowed.

On April 9, detectives charged Camren Mahki Poole, 18, with general murder. Poole was already booked into the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center and was serving time for unrelated charges. He received no authorized bail.

On April 10, Danny Isaiah Gadberry, 23, was charged with general murder. He also received no bail.

Around 2:17 p.m. on Jan. 20, officers responded to the 800 block of East Devonshire Street after receiving a report of a shooting.

At the scene, police found Devonte Michael Hayes, 20, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside a vacant building.

Personnel from Forsyth County Emergency Medical Services and the Winston-Salem Fire Department attempted to save lives. However, Hayes died from his injuries.

An 18-year-old woman was treated for minor injuries sustained following the shooting, according to police.

A 49-year-old man later showed up at a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
