4 injured in Waterbury shooting: police

The condition of the injured is currently unknown.

WATERBURY, Conn. — Four people were injured in a shooting in Waterbury Tuesday evening, city police said.

Police say officers arrived on Mitchell Avenue at 7 p.m. after receiving a report that shots had been fired in the area.

Investigators at the scene found evidence of a shooting, in which four people were injured, police said.

All four were transported to local hospitals. Their current condition, as well as the extent of their injuries, is unknown.

Mitchell Avenue was closed during the investigation but reopened at 10 p.m.
