37-year-old Joliet man charged in Manhattan home stabbing

The incident occurred on June 4. The man fled the scene and was found on June 21.

MANHATTAN, Ill. — A Joliet man faces a battery charge after an incident at a Manhattan home earlier this month, according to police reports.

On June 21, police found and arrested Christopher Valentino, 37, who was a suspect in a June 4 battery in the 13900 block of Wilderness Lakes Drive.

Valentino allegedly stabbed in the hand a family member of a person he was responsible for caring for. Valentino then fled the scene, according to police reports. He was later found and charged with aggravated battery.

Valentino was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Center to await a detention hearing.
