3 suspects arrested in March home invasion robbery, assault in Bloomington – San Bernardino Sun

Three suspects were arrested Thursday, May 30, more than two months after two people were robbed of $12,500 in cash and one was assaulted with a gun during a home invasion robbery in Bloomington, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department announced.

On March 12, around 3 a.m., two victims, a man and a woman, were awakened at gunpoint by three armed suspects in the 18000 block of Valley Boulevard in Bloomington, a news release said Friday Sheriff's Press.

The man was whipped with a gun and dragged to his office while the woman was held against her will, according to Friday's statement.

The thieves took $12,500 in cash, video surveillance footage from a victim's residence and vehicle.

The victims called authorities and deputies from the Fontana Police Station began their investigation. Investigators identified Marcos Guerrero, 48, of Glendora; Elijah Gafare, 35, of West Covina, and Cynthia Leal, 38, of Ontario, are the three people involved in the theft, the news release states.

A few months later, on Thursday, investigators carried out two searches and located and arrested the three suspects.

According to the sheriff's release, Guerrero and Leal were arrested at an apartment in the 1000 block of East Foothill Boulevard in Glendora, while Gafare was arrested at a residence in the 700 block of South Manzanita Drive in West Covina.

They were all arrested on suspicion of robbery, assault with a firearm and conspiracy to commit a felony and booked into the West Valley Detention Center, the release said.
