Three suspects have been arrested for allegedly stealing merchandise worth thousands of dollars from stores in Southern California.

The suspects, all residents of Los Angeles, were identified as follows:

  • Miya Angel Grant, 19 years old
  • Dion Damani Ford, 20 years old
  • Nanyaba Wilson-Tyehhimba, 27 years old

On May 22, Ventura County deputies responded to a “robbery in progress” at a Target located in the 2700 block of Teller Road in Thousand Oaks.

Security said the suspects placed several large items in a large tote bag before fleeing the store. The suspects allegedly stole merchandise from another Target location minutes earlier, officials said.

Investigators identified the thieves and spotted them driving on Highway 101 shortly after the robbery in Thousand Oaks. They were stopped and arrested on the spot.

During the arrest, officers discovered a large number of stolen items in their possession, including alcohol, cosmetics, over-the-counter medications and personal hygiene products.

Target workers told deputies the trio escaped with approximately $3,500 worth of merchandise from the two Target stores.

All three suspects were charged with organized retail theft. They were released after posting bail. An arraignment hearing is scheduled in Ventura County Superior Court on June 6.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force at 805-383-8703.
