24-year-old man arrested in connection with alleged sexual assault

A 24-year-old man suspected of riding a motorized scooter and exposing his genitals to two women in separate offenses in Moreno Valley has been taken into custody, authorities said Thursday.

The Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station Investigation Bureau was notified around 2 p.m. Tuesday of a possible suspect matching the description of a man riding a motorized scooter exposing his genitals last week near Farragut Avenue and of Elsworth Street, where authorities arrested Ruben Potillo Delgado, according to Riverside County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Robert Martinez.

Deputies responded around 5 p.m. May 29 near TownGate Memorial Park for a report of a man exposing himself to a woman while riding a motorized scooter.

Upon further investigation, investigators discovered that Delgado allegedly grabbed the victim after exposing his genitals and left on his scooter to an unknown destination.

Martinez said another woman reported a similar incident around 2 p.m. on May 30 near Arbor Park and Dracaea Avenue before leaving on her scooter.

Delgado was also linked to another alleged sexual assault involving a child in the 12100 block of Indian Street, which investigators have been investigating since January.
