24-year-old man arrested for involvement in November 2023 murder

A 24-year-old youth has been arrested for his involvement in a homicide that occurred in November 2023. Jose Ramon Ventura, who has no known address, is charged with accessory after the fact for driving and transporting two individuals suspected of being responsible for the shooting death of 20-year-old Orlando Alexander Satz, Jr.

According to Montgomery County Police: “Satz, Jr. died on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, after crashing his car into a parked vehicle on Spruell Drive (Silver Spring). Neighbors who heard the crash removed Satz, Jr. from the car and provided aid when Montgomery County firefighters responded and observed apparent gunshot wounds.

The Montgomery County Police Department – ​​Major Crimes Division, Homicide Section responded to the scene and is investigating the death as a homicide. During the investigation, detectives identified Ventura as the driver of a black Honda Civic that two suspects entered after the shooting.

On Tuesday, June 18, detectives requested and obtained an arrest warrant for Ventura, charging him with accessory after the fact. Ventura was arrested on Thursday, June 20 by officers from the 4th District and was served with a warrant for his arrest. He is being held without bail at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
