The victim is an adult woman. In accordance with Florida Statute 119.071(2)(h), no further information will be released that would tend to identify the victim.

PINELLAS COUNTY – Detectives assigned to the Robbery-Homicide Unit arrested a Clearwater man after he exposed himself in a commercial parking lot in Oldsmar.

On February 24, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., an adult female was walking to her vehicle in the Ulta parking lot, located at 3142 Tampa Road in Oldsmar, when she observed a man sitting behind the wheel of a gold Chevrolet Equinox. . The man was actively masturbating and making direct eye contact with the victim. Detectives say the suspect was described as a biracial man, wearing a trench coat with a hood covering his head. The victim said the man was not wearing any other clothing underneath the trench coat. The victim immediately called 911, but the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

Detectives learned the victim observed the same vehicle in the parking lot two days later and the same man was sitting in the driver's seat. Through various investigative techniques, detectives identified the suspect as 24-year-old Jonte Lynn. Detectives say Lynn was previously convicted of two counts of exposure of sexual organs in 2022 and 2023 and placed on probation. In these cases, the victims provided similar accounts of these incidents, claiming that Lynn was sitting in her gold Chevrolet Equinox and actively masturbating.

On May 29, 2024, detectives arrested Lynn and charged him with one count of exposure of sexual organs and one count of probation violation. When detectives questioned Lynn, he was cooperative and admitted he had impulses he could not control.
