2 women hospitalized after stabbing in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Two women were hospitalized after being stabbed in downtown Fresno Friday evening.

The stabbing occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the area of ​​Sussex Way and Clark Avenue.

Fresno police said a large group of people gathered to discuss social media posts leading up to the stabbing.

At one point, authorities say the two women, ages 18 and 19, started fighting and were stabbed.

Both women were transported to a local hospital, where their conditions are unknown.
